Bet Waylon was all excited about the three bodies extracted from the lake.

With the folded flyer in her pocket Maranda might be hoping to collect the bounty if one of the three turns out to be the missing teen.

"waters edge" should be water's edge.

Sounds like Maranda might be falling for Mitch.

You did a great job, Gretchen, with this chapter. I enjoyed
reading it. There was great action and discovery of many
things. Miranda showed a little more of what she's made
of with her thoughts and actions. Behind her tough exterior
is a woman who cares about others and hasn't given or shown
much of her true self until now. Mitch even showed a little more
of his true intentions. I believed he meant well towards Miranda.
I'm glad Aaron and Waylon were able to participate in the raising
of the cars. What a shock it would've been to see the victims.
But, boys will be boys--they will rehash that event forever. I liked
the inclusion of the flyers naked to the post. As for who the victims
are, that will make for a great chapter. Hmm, wonder where Missy's
husband fits in.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

I love you no nonsense style, I suspect Miranda is your alter ego, Elaine, my wife is like that, seemingly complex, but a simple philosophy in life, a good friend, no crap, she's a great mum, grandmother and loyal friend, the perfect woman for me, I could have never married someone like my mum, and Mitch is probably like me, beautiful written.

If you're like Mitch, you're a good man. And your wife must be a hoot. Thank you so much for your review. I appreciate it. Gretchen

Another excellent oncoming romance. All very interesting. You tell a great story. I do look forward to whatever is gonna happen with Miranda and Mitch. It looks like Waylon's father is not really interested in supporting him. No spags.

Yayyyy! I'm glad they were both honest about their feelings. I enjoyed the description of the place they once enjoyed with their families. Sadly, that happens a lot to places we remember from years ago.

I'm glad Mitch and Miranda had this discussion. It suits them. Not overly romantic, yet honest and to the point. It was perfect. I can't wait to see who those bodies belong to. I'm wondering if one of them isn't Jason. I think one is.

Damn it, where are those sixes when I need one most. LOL. An old boy who steps up and takes advantage of the situation like he should if he really likes someone. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you. I'll take an honest review over a six anyday. But I won't turn a six star down. Lol. Thank you so much. Gretchen

Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

I like Miranda. She points out the elephant in the room. She is straightforward and honest and wants everyone else to be too. What's not to like. Mitch sees her as a puzzle and he likes puzzles. LOL She tells us why she is attracted to Mitch as well. Looks like things are heating up for the two of them. Well done, Gretchen. Nancy:) xxx

I'm positive now that we have some cosmic muse connection, lol. It seems our characters are falling in love at the same time. I said to myself omg, Gretchen is going to think I'm using her idea, but it's how it worked out as I wrote their little ditty yesterday. :). I'm more excited about mitch and Miranda's love affair and the fact that he finally gave her a proper peck! This was a great chapter, as usual. Best JohnC

Good. I like their honesty towards each other. I wonder if there could be a body inside the washing machine, but I doubt it would be big enough. Good writing, always enough to maintain the interest, provoke thought about what's happening, and develop the characters.
