The opening paragraph is picture perfect. It as if we are watching a movie. Typical give & take between 2 friends: ""Any little green spaceman been found there?" a cynical Matt asked.
Slightly annoyed, Cody rolled his eyes." Good question: " Why waste money looking for exoplanets like that?" A great use of the subject for tongue-in-cheek humor: "or my dad is going to send me to the nearest exoplanet he can find."

What a wonderful read. Such an intellectual conversation between two young boys. I appreciated the imagery and references to Aldrin and Armstrong. I too am fascinated by the James Webb telescope too. A fine tale.

I look like this Cody chapter 5 because it talks about two young boys looking up at the sky at night wondering about the reality of Life above.
The conversation took part about the recent Yahoo article about the landing on the moon.
I still can't remember the name of the ship.
But I do believe there was a famous quote about one step for mankind

Well written Brett and thank you for sharing this one.

You can get inside the minds and interests, and way of speaking, of the boys, very successfully as they ask themselves about the big things. Thought-provoking, as it reminds everyone to evaluate carefully what one sees, reads, and is told. Well written.

Always a lovely story about Codey and Mitch and so on. You are another good story teller. Glad to have a few like you in here. No spags and look forward to the next chapter.

Much appreciate the comments and the review. Recently began posting Cody on another site since he was banned from contests on this one. Reception has been outstanding for him there to this point.

Let us know where that is? Is it Walu's place? Are you friends with him on Facebook remember the abused boy that ran away from home and grew up with out Aboriginals?

There are plenty of people who still don't believe that we've ever been on the moon, amazing as it sounds. But I'm one of those still wondering why, besides curiosity. LOL. Just joking. Thanks for sharing.

I question whether man has ever been to the moon. Something about the scenario does not add up to me. If it takes a rocket to get there, why does it not take one to get back? And, if man reached the moon once how come they can not just use that same technology and go any time they want to? Anyway, you know I always appreciate your comments and reviews.

I'm not sure what I believe when it comes to the trip to the moon. I certainly could be pushed off the fence with the right words. :-)

Cody is a thinker. He takes what he hears or reads and in his mind he delves deeper. He takes what he knows are facts and spins his own theories. I like that he had a friend to bounce his ideas off of. Great chapter. Gretchen

I heard about the new planet. I sounds like Cody is the curious kid that likes to learn about new things in the world and his friend is one that distrusts most of what he hears. Cody most be a perpetual kid that never grows up. I remember when I first learned about he was grown and had spent time in jail. Lately he's been just a kid again.

As a wannabe astrologer I appreciate this information. I also like your delivery approach using narration and dialogue. Nice to add bits of humor too.

Cody seems like a typical young boy. I always enjoy reading about him. You do a good job writing these posts.

I don't even believe anyone's ever walked on the moon. (Either did my grandma.)

"Any little green spaceman been found there?" A cynical Matt asked. (lower case 'a')
