What a hoot! This is so funny because you have penned this dialogue so clearly, every sigh, sideways glance premonition of the direction of the conversation sat so neatly.
Every beat was enjoyable on this ride - for me the reader at least!
2nd last stanza though="thought"

This is a fun story to read but not likely if you are on the recieving end of all that dissatisfaction. It would make the Sunday outing quite unpleasant. You tell it with a lot of humor. Thanks, Beth. I wrote this when we driving to see my grandchildren. My wife, who was driving, kept asking me what I was laughing about.

Now that is what I call a ride, author. :) Cruising and wishing you were alone in a car. No such luck. Yet, for better or not so good that ring tells us that we understood... that the wife wears the seatbelt in life. I rather be fishing. :) Thank you for sharing.
