I know it's one of your older ones, but the title drew me in, and the descriptive words beautifully illustrate the moment. My curiosity sated and I am well pleased to have read it.

Thank you so much for your kind lovely review I'm glad you enjoyed it If you want to read anything you can go on my portfolio and you don't have to do a review for everything. Just enjoy it. What I'm doing right now is writing my autobiography It's kind of fun People are enjoying it you're welcome tooCheck it out without any review That takes a lot of time and it kind of interferes fears with our reading.

A beautiful poem. Simple on the surface but so much bubbling away underneath. I love the way you use few words to say so much. Eliding from word to word so every one used MEANS.

Thank you for your delightful review. I don't remember what inspired that one, but it was fun to write.

Very nice. I remember those days. Although I'm a neophyte in poetry (I'm struggling to get past limericks) I liked your imagery of moving from winter to summer, "Almost gone and not yet begun until...he puts on his brand new sneakers". Nice work. Thanks for sharing it. Stay well.

Thank you for your positive review. I taught poetry. We learned structured creative styles i.e. Haiku, Diamante, Cinquain, which loosens the poet into free verse. If I can encourage you in any of them, let me know.

Thank you. I will. My obstacle at the moment is just doing it. I will certainly try.

practice some...I'll guide you. I would not want to be locked in limericks...most are lewd & crude. Branch out to more refreshing ones like Haiku. I taught my poor learners that they could be poets. they were very impressed. They wrote about their snowmobiles, being in Vermont. Many write about nature, but it doesn't have to be. So here's one of their snowmobile ones...simple to remember from the 70's
    5-7-5 syllables or taps
    Oh my snowmobile
    You are my favorite one
    You go very fast

Thanks for your advice. I intend to practice. I will be posting some soon.

This is a nice way to sweep on past winter into spring and summer and at last get those new sneakers for school. A fun poem to get us out of the winter doldrums.

This was awesome, Liz. I loved the picture because it showed the children dressed in blizzard winter coats, hats and boots. Your words took us back to a time of remembering. Very well done and greatly enjoyed. Blessings n Hugs!

This is a very well written poem you have penned to go with the picture this club event. You used very good descriptive words that gives the reader a look into the minds of the ones staring into the window. Best wishes in the contest. Teri

This is precious in free verse poetry. I found it magical and sweet, reminiscent of a time gone by when new sneakers were the highlight of year. Sending you my best today as always and best wishes for the challenge.

This brought back some childhood memories. I love to remember those times of riding my bike, making mud pies, sliding down a hill on a piece of cardboard. Great poem and thank you.

Thank you for your delightful review. You did cardboard too? Somehow we got a hold of the cafeteria trays, we got giant truck inner tubes...hmmm

Enjoyed your fun free verse on "window shopping." What really struck me was "to hold memories of tomorrow." That really puts time on its head but that are what memories are like - timeless. Fun view of the looking ahead to spring and summer joys.
