This story, Lightning Strikes, zeroes in on one of those life moments when we find out who we are. Are we a coward, or one who rises to the occasion and does what is needed?

This was an excellent flash fiction piece! I am glad that the old man was there to help Wes make the right decision. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

So many questions. Was Wes part of your family? Who was the old man. I like the prose but, for me, it leaves too many open ends. Admittedly, the restrictions on the word count make it difficult. Best of luck.

Thank you for the highest compliment. To have so many questions after 100 words. It means you were invested. Thank you
