If you don't shed a tear while watching Boys' Town, then you don't have a heart. LOL. And if you are dealing with the flu too, and you're blue, then it's probably worse than ever. Thanks for sharing, Mike. Hope you're feeling better by now!

Yeah, Boys' Town is like Old Yeller; you need a whole of tissues. We're doing great! Thanks for your concern!

I'm not a crier but sometimes we all need a good weep. It releases the toxicity of stress, fatigue, depression. It's like regurgitating but with good old salty tears. I liked your tongue in cheek look at the flu. Boys Town will get ya. Hope you are on the mend. Gretchen

Let the tears flow, they are healing. I know how bad the flu can be. I had the flu several years ago and missed a week of work. I am sure many can relate to your words and there isn't much the doctor can do. I hope you feel better soon.

It sounds like you have had the blue flu. So sorry to hear that. I know it's going around again. Please be well soon. I like your poem but not to know you are not feeling well.

Good thing you are a movie buff, Mike, it helps and entertains while getting over the cold blues.
Working very well in this poem: a positive attitude and chicken soup Poetry for the soul.
-Wonderful idea to turn the aches and pains of the flu into Poetry for the soul. Who needs chicken soup, right? A cupful of your poetry is just the right order.
Loved your poem, too bad it came from the flu. Wishing you a speedy recovery and more great movies to help you out. All the best.

Oh yes, the flu can be quite debilitating. My wife and I have had little sickness in the 3-4 years in the duration of the Covid pandemic just a brief upper respiratory infection, Beautifully written Mike, blessings Roy

How awful! I hope you're recovering well now. I once had the Asian flu back in the '50s. It was awful, so I know how you felt. Did anyone else catch it from you? Take care of yourself.

Oh, no! I'm so sorry! Prayers for you now. My grandchildren had before Christmas. Needless to say, Christmas was celebrated on New Years. At least you have great taste in movies. Get better soon and take it easy, my friend.
Sending you my best with layers of prayers.

Oh my goodness! I hope since this post, you are now on the mend. It is awful to be that sick, and I wish you a speedy recovery, Mike. This is well done, and I can feel your discomfort throughout. Best, JohnC

Mike,
An excellent rant, laden with self-deprecating humor, about being fed up with being in bed, sick with whatever the mainstream would label it.... Author's Notes are also moving with smiles. GET WELL!!!
Richard
