Hello dear friend, you have
penned a loving caring poem
for the victims of domestic
violence/child abuse. You
raise awareness of it, as the
pen is mightier than the
sword. Thank you for your
warm and empathic heart
and soul. God loves you
so much for it. Have a
blessed Sunday dear friend.

Oh Regina, your beautiful words have me in tears. As the friend who I admire most for taking a stand on important issues, you honor me my sweet Regina! Thank you so much for your lovely words, gracious six stars and the grandest gift of your friendship! So I have to know one more thing at this time about you. When is your birthday? I would love to write a poem for you on that special day. ..... Thanks again my Sweet Regina!

Hi good friend! My birthday is
June 10, 1957. When is yours?
    :))))))) many blessings to you
    sweet one and your family.

Pam Lonsdale has the exact same birthdate as I do. It was fun to find someone else who has been writing 10/19/1954 all their life too.
Thank you for giving me yours, my sweet friend! .
I hope I can do you part of the justice you have honored me with your friendship!
You were the first person that ever wrote something for me and no matter what, that truly meant so much to me!
Btw, you have the same birthday as my son in-law.

Blue moon observes golden sun.
Trading places as day is done.
Fear of light, finally gone.
White flight abandons black night.
Bright day, battles to slay
the fear of colors in every way.
Sorry, I got carried away.

Hahaha Nomi, that was beautiful and I love how the last line even fit into your fun but beautiful little poem. I would tell you to join the contest, but it is in the voting booth. You gave me a big smile and I can't thank you enough for the smile you gave me, my sweet friend. You are so awesome!

I've often wondered how many times I've missed the signs that someone has needed help. I live in hope that maybe I've not Bern around people in need of intervention. Naive but hopeful. This used all of the colors with such a good intensity. Gold for untouched and pure, white as in angelic. And the blue where the darkness hides the ugliness. Great job. Gretchen

Awe Gretchen, my sweet friend, I think you are so awesome. I'm not sure I if anyone else got it, but with this being kind of a New year poem, that is why I wrote the Midnight blues, but I don't think it was clear. Thank you so much for that lovely review and kind words for this poem. Thank again my friend.

Yes, everything is fine with this poem Technically conforms to the reverse tanka, but here what is more important, is that the colours chosen have deep meaning. They create the essence of the intended message.
Great job!!

Author
Hi!
This is a nice reverse Haiku using colors.
Your poem fits the rules nicely.

Using the colors that you did, is an effective way to get a point across.

We all need, hope, Author. Your photo and words give the reader alot to think about.

Good luck,
Blessings,
Cindy

Yours is the best one I've seen so far. Good syllables count for the contest. Good rhyme. I love the presentation and imagery. I hope you do well in the contest. This contest is not a haiku but it sounds like a fun project.

Hi Gypsy, this is such a lovely compliment and means a lot to me.. Especially with Haiku's being your specialty. (even tho it wasn't a real one) but close enough that you made me feel honored by your words. Thank you so much for that! And it was a lot of fun! Debi

Hope has no color, but the creative artist can call it any color he or she wishes. Saying that "white hope needed in the new year" nonetheless is going to cause a lot of politically correct ears to stand up and look. The angel in the accompanying picture is white, and white is the color of the blank canvases the provide the surface for great art. Still, it would be hard to find anyone who won't recognize the contemporary weight of this poem.

And Frank, I couldn't agree with you more. However the prompts of this contest made it so we had to add a color in each line, which made it hard to get a point across using the a color in the line without meaning. Therefore white as standing for pure seemed to be the best way to explain the hope needed. Since we are both on the same page w this. I should point out that the Bible uses the color white to explain pure in many of it's passages.
With the dilemma of having to use a color, help me please to do that line with a color in it that makes sense and still get it to rhyme..Iook forward to your response. Thanks my dear friend!

'Hope, blood-red, needed this year' fits. It's tough to find good lines in a syllable count. Or, 'Blood- red hope be here this year.' Or, 'Blossom, blood-red hope, this year.' Good luck!

Thank you Frank. I like that. And you recently gave me awesome adventure on another poem that was a hit, so I'm thinking that when the contest is over today, I will change it, but maybe best not to do so until then because if may confuse people who have already read it.
I am putting together my book of poetry, using my best from my portfolio. You have always been a friend who I may not always agreed, but you challenge me to do my best. For that I thank you, would you mind if I used

your message was incomplete for some reason, but I'm guessing, and you're welcome to use my suggestions. And best of luck with your book!
reply by the author on 07-Jan-2023
Actually I was asking if it would be ok to use your name to thank as someone who has been helpful to me. And it will be a while until I get to that point anyway, but something to think about.

    I'd be honored. Frank

Wow, this is great -- it actually inspires me to give a 'reverse haiku' a try.
We certainly do need some purity in 2023, and that's what your lovely poem says to me. Good people are suffering! ("gold hearts")

I love this outstanding reverse haiku. I am also holding out hope that 2023 will be better off than 2022. Sometimes the only way is to fake it until you make it. Great job and good luck in the contest!

Hello author, fear is a terrible thing for anyone to live in, no matter what the source. We all need to take responsibility to help other when we can. Unfortunately, and sadly, the deepest fears are hidden deep within, and many times it is masked by smiles and laughter. I especially liked:

midnight blues won't disappear
(Not until we erase and eradicate them.)

Well done. Good format and rhyming. As this is a contest entry, I wish you good luck. LateBloomer
