Viewing comments for Chapter 2 "What to do With Zoe"
Third in a series is quite sad in the beginning.

A specialized character Doolie, good and poor stand of her relations, but Zoe is somewhat absurd, Zoe cannot live with Zoe, now surprising; realistic are the characters, appears live; well done, ALCREATOR LITT DEAR (DR)

I hope that Doolie will consult with Willow who is so wise. It seems that the living arrangement wasn't decided on? My favorite part was the realization that Bea was holding her breath. That's a step to controlling emotions and restoring peace, the buzzing of those bees.

I think I mentioned it to you before, but if I did, I'll repeat it again with heavy emphasis: You really, REALLY, need to give more backstory. Absent that, you need to have a list of characters. I don't know who are animals and who are human, and how bees can be buzzing around inside a person. And the Rainbow Bridge! What is that? I'm sorry, Liz ... I'm not trying to be negative, but I am really sooooo lost.

"We are noticing how aggressive Zoe is and how Sweet Puppy is trying to protect Annie, a target of Zoe's." [Liz, the way you have this sentence written, it begs the question, "a target of Zoe's what?" when you meant to say, and should have said, "who Zoe was targeting."

even over the growls was a pained-fill yowl. [Either Painful or Painfilled yowl.]

Thank you for your involved review. I did add the characters list, possibly after you read this. All are animals. The bees are like our expression of butterflies in our stomach. The bridge of rainbows is where animals wait for their owners after they die.

See? I never would have connected bees to butterflies in that context. And now that you explained the bridge of rainbows it becomes a beautiful image. (As a matter of fact, you could write an entire chapter, or a separate short story, about a pet waiting for its owner on the Bridge of Rainbows. Such a gorgeous image, and one so many can relate to.)

Keep up the good fight, Liz!

Yes, I think for young children this will work just fine. It doesn't show that much, and leans into telling of emotions and feelings but, I think maybe that's best for the reading level the book is intended for. And the fight scene wasn't graphic.

So, you are talking about the Rainbow Bridge where animals go to die? At first, I wasn't sure. Will this be a picture book at all? God bless you with a happy healthy new year.

Thank you for your involved review. There will be a center page with the puppies & cats picture. This is for 4-6th independent reading level. Nice new year for you & yours also

This was an amazing continuation chapter, Liz. I am so glad that Doolie was agreeable when she had to witness Annie go over the Rainbow Bridge.
Sweet Puppy and Zoe were destined to different paths. Very well done and greatly enjoyed. Blessings n Hugs!

Thank you for your lovely review. It feel good.
On another subject...I have tried Anne's phone number several times. It has a message that it is not connected. I'm afraid Anne is not well. I am sending healing energy her way. Sadly, we may never know.

Wow, that's not good, I'll send some healing energy her way as well.

Nice you have started a new book. I didn't read the first chapter so I'm a little confused. I think both Zoe and Doolie are poppies, am I right? I think it might be helpful if you could add the character introduction in the end of each chapter.

Well done.

Hi Liz, I'm still working my head around all the names and the story. Your notes are of great help, though.. it does seem to be quite a sad period, but I hope some new times will come along. All best, Ulla:)))

Thank you for kind review. This is a story about my experience. I had several losses. But I am doing well now. The story will evolve as our own lives do.
