away from dark dirty hands ~
bound in chains of shame
An innocent child should be living a happy life, one far from any danger, and we see the criminal nature of the acts committed against this person.

I am wondering about the horrors this child hid from in the wheat fields and from whom. No child should ever have to live in fear. Thank you for bringing this issue to the forefront.

Another wonderful tanka, Gypsy. The dual pictures were enticing to me. Your words filled me with a heart felt sense of wonder- the innocence of a child means so much. Very well done and greatly enjoyed. Blessed Be n Hugs!!!

Heartbreaking and heartfelt of how a child must hide in fear. With your words, one can "see" and "feel " the child's terror.
Brilliantly written and presented.
Best wishes

I like your tanka poem- excellent picture presentation - good word count and flow - I find this type of poem particularly interesting- had some female clients- in Grad school- psychology- volunteer work- some deeply scared as children- so tragic- I was deeply affected- their life long chains-enough said- I am curious about what toasted wheat fields represent- maybe nothing- just curious. Good write- good job AP

This poem speaks to me of a child who was either abused or in danger of being sexually abused and has to hide to keep innocence. So much fear to deal with for such children!

Wow
I can see the child of the piece
You have a great presentation here and have nailed some very complex emotions. Your presentation is beautiful as well with the contrast of black and gold. This piece just really spoke to me. Well written.

Another fine poem, Gypsy....and it's tragic that it is happening at all. Like the Pat Benatar song, Hell is for Children, it sickens me, but it's just one of many things
