Your poem is beautiful as usual, Marival. My favorite line is 'in raging rapid rivers' as I've always been partial to alliteration.

I like your Tanka modern poem- good picture presentation of river- good flow - poem stays with the central theme all the way through the poem - nice!
Heart - tears rushing to a conclusion- outside ones self - turning it over- let go and let God- seeking forgiveness/ steps program- seeking forgiveness- 4th step- good job AP

This tanka poem shows how much emotion is involved in relationships and when so much is invested in loving, the deserting of the loved one hurts so much more. Well said with great use of metaphor and alliteration.

This tanka, Raging Rapid River, has the proper word count and describes a soul left lost after a breakup and finding no place where comfort can be found. Powerful.
