The poem expressed sincere and intense feeling of pain and agony conveyed in a very expressive and open manner. I always enjoy reading your work and looking forward to when the theme will be that of victory and joy. Well done, dear Charity.

I still like your writing, but I wish you would, as Elsa says in the Disney release, let it go. I know you can. Try writing an antonymic version of a small release you wrote.

Congrats on your 50th post! Your poem is real, honest, and it's easy to see the pain you write is from your heart and your troubles. Something like this can be very hard to post sometimes due to the personal connection you are sharing with mostly strangers! But I really like your overall message and by posting this you will definitely impact somebody else with similar struggles and give them a suggestion or just knowing that somebody else on here is going through what they might be. That alone can help them in a big way. Thanks for posting it.

Merry Christmas and best wishes that the New Year starts great for you!!

Well written and intense read that I can really relate to. Your presentation is outstanding and this was an easy and enjoyable read. You presented the emotion you were trying to convey so completely. Nice work. I might suggest that you play with fonts to more completely convey the emotion that you evoke with your writing,

Very painful to read, as you describe the agony of the heart in a raw and scraping way. The poetry style is quite good, with the recurring verse : won't take my pain away " makes us feel it more.
I hope it's not happening in your life right now.
Best wishes and
Merry Christmas

Congratulations on your milestone number 50. I usually complain about poems that do not rhyme. I can't complain about this one.

Come on, Charity, what do you say.
How about a poem about Christmas day.

Oh the agony in this poem is gut wrenching! The picture is so very fitting for the blood and pain poured out in these words. The poet tells of all the ain killers and drugs and attempts to numb a pain that is so deep, so extensive that nothing brings relief. I love the free form rhyme of "ay" sounds that hold this poem together. I also love the hope that the last line brings. The plea that this pain may bring healing in miraculous ways. I wonder if the hope is that the pain and suffering the poet talks of would bring answers and comfort and healing to others suffering in pain? Absolutely fabulous poem. Tiny edit 6th last line "to": "too fast".

Hi Charity, you are still going through these things which have you in their grip at present. Are you strong enough to ask for God's help and deliverance from drugs and alcohol, and your sad and terrible past? He could turn your life around if you let Him, and isn't that what you really need and want? Writing cannot free you altogether.
Thank you for sharing.
Wendy

Some pain can be redemptive. Consider the pain that Jesus suffered. He conquered it because he had a mission that must be completed. No amount of pain was ever going to stop or prevent it from taking place. Some folk inflict pain upon themselves because once the pain is gone away, they feel so good. Sick I know, but that is the way some folk are.
