Hi Sally,
"DeeCayed was out of breath after leaping the steps to the very top of the Mega Mall." ... (This caught me right off the bat. Can a demon, or even an angel, I guess, get out of breath? I didn't think the spirit world would be able to lose their breath. That's something a mortal would do. I'll have to give this some thought.)
It's quite an image, Patience becoming a lioness and roaring...
"Patience transformed into a lioness once again, and roared, "OH, NO YOU DON'T!!"
I didn't remember "Fee". I this another demon? With all the evil going on, I wouldn't be surprised if Decayed is not alone.
Nicely penned! I rarely find any grammar issues with your work, Sally. That's a feather in your cap.
Hugs,
Kimbob

Thank you for the super review and kind stars. I'm glad you could catch up with me.

DeeCayed has possessed a biker. I described that a few chapters back. Demons operate in two ways: over us in the spiritual realm as influencers, and by possession. Judas Iscariot was a good example of demon possession and their power; also the Gadarene Demoniac in the gospels was possessed by many demons. Jesus cast them out and healed him spirituality, emotionally and physically.

Fee has just been introduced as a higher power player than Santucci. Stay tuned.
Sending you my best today as always,

Something tells me the demon is about to lose his other ear, at the very least. I can imagine the scene when Beelzebub finds out what happened with the phone. And Patience can be pretty feisty when she needs to be. I'm beginning to like her more all the time.

Good opening scenes as DeeCayed is overwhelmed by Patience, before moving to the Precinct. So many layers to this story of greed and criminals, of the evil preying on the innocent. Well told Sally,
cheers,
valda

Sally, I like that you wove spiritual principalities into your story.
Your novel is interesting and poignant, in that a man lost his daughter in all the fray.
Clever and exceptional, Sally.
Good luck.
Blessings and hugs,
Cindy

Darn I'm enjoying this story so much that I can't wait to see what happens. but at the same time don't want it to end. I love that decay got what is coming to him. He's going back to the pit of no return. What happened to Nic. I forgot? Anyway, got another question for you. Since they found Santucci's dna on Tommy's daughter. Are talking sexual assault or like under her fingernails? Y'know the spiritual aspect with Patience being kinda comical yet powerful and nix, fee and decayed satanic, it truly adds to the story! Every week more to find any has me itching to hear about it! Thanks Sally for this awesome story! I am enjoying immensely!

Thank you for the lovely review and generous stars, Debi dear. I'm glad Yu our are enjoying my story. I'm keeping it short so you and others and read smaller sections at a time. I hope it helps. Nix will reappear as he is in Aspen Grove lurking. The Mighty Patience will be his undoing. Sending you my best today as always,

Yes, tommorow afternoon. I have printed out my blood work ahead of time and not sure what to make of these new findings. Hopefully there's a way to turn this around. Apparently this is not coming from just my thyroid. Something else is afoot. More later. Xos

So glad I finally got to this. Exciting but "queer" story with these "extra terrestrials" in there. Keep it coming. As I have said before, this is quite different to your normal type of writing. No spags.

This is the first story I've read where you use other characters other then the blind-lady or you. Wriing about angels and demons is an interesting switch. You are handling it nicely. I'm anxious to see how the childs killer will be found

Hi Sally,

Although I came late to the story, and am still catching up on the go, I'm enjoying your story telling, the characters, and look forward to finding out where this leads. I will have Patience (haha!).

How does DeeCayed know the technician's name is Pat? We know, but he shouldn't since there was no introduction.

Thank you for the excellent review and stars. DeeCayed spoke to Pat on the phone in the dialogue above and he reiterated his familiarity with her when he steps up to the counter. Sending you my best today as always,

This kind of gave me goose bumps: "Drawing a sword of godly light, she broke the bonds one by one as a spiritual battle ensued." This is a wonderful metaphor. A fun observation:
"Your angel has impeccable taste. I had one identical to that in high school!" I like your wordplay: "I drilled deeper. "Do you think someone drove him off the cliff?" Interesting ending.
