This chapter has the feel of a battle strategy gone awry. There are well intention leaders who underestimate enemy strengths and overestimate field intelligence. Well-written. This continues to connect the changing terrain and combatants. Good work. I enjoyed reading,

Again, your action and descriptions are excellent. The names of some of the elves and etc. didn't go unnoticed. Did I miss the dragons while reading? I sure hope not. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Dwarves Vs The Gonlins followed with the Elves.
Much fierce battling g especially the archers.
No Dragons this time but more than an enough bloodshed.
...
Another wonderfully and wondrous disaster.
Rich in Theme and imagery.
Wondering what's going on next with these Elves and the Evil Magician from the previous chapters?

Hmm, a great deal of narration in these last chapters, more this one. Also, speaking of being outnumbered. There are an awful lot, seemingly endless amount of Goblins. That would require a great deal of support, food, water, and production of arms (arrows).

Good chapter.

Sorry, fell behind with the holidays. Agreed. A few have pointed out too much narration in this chapter. Plus I need to reiterate the scavenger nature of goblins
