We need to remember the everlasting saying, just be yourself. Robots are very scary machines. We have two legs, some robots have four or six legs. Why would someone want a robot when people want to work to support their families? In the future, I am sure there will be these types of machines instead of people.

This poem is a joke... perhaps satire. The truth is that a robots/machines could never replace a poet's heart and soul.

Thank you very much for your time and kind review. I appreciate your feedback.

A Future World rin mainly bu Robotics?
The thought has existed since the Jetsons TV show but there has been an awful lot of changes in many sectors including banking and Telecommunications.
Interesting subject for a Haiku.

I like your haiku poem- cute picture presentation- good word count and good connection between lines- fired poet / replaced by a robot made in Japan- must be an American modern poet that doesn't adhere to a strict 5/7/5 line count? Actually the have gotten writings from AI to see what they think- they got bored with it quickly and wrote there own language- we couldn't understand- hope for dumb earthling poets!!Good job! AP

It has been suggested to me before that a robot could write poetry but I doubt that would ever happen as the human brain is complex and a computer just cannot compete, a poignant write, love Dolly x

Gypsy,

The computers can successfully play chess against the world masters, but I sincerely doubt that your Haiku robot will ever become true.

Regardless, it is a terrific poem!

I know. It is still funny to consider how a computer program could create a poem as complex as a Haiku.

Another reviewer, Gloria, said that there are haiku robots. She wrote an example but I forgot. It was not to bad but needs a lot of editing lol

Oh, I like your sardonic tone in this haiku. You suggest what many of us fear: machines (aka robots) will replace us all. Your last line is great irony as many admire the Japanese for their singular technology. Rod

This haiku, Fired Haiku Poet, presented with a 5-6-4 formatting, suggests that poetry is being farmed out to AI. I think for our own selves we should write stuff that his above a robot's ability.

Its a joke. In reality, a robot wouldn't know the art of poetry.

Thank you very much, Bill. I appreciate your excellent review.

Well, of course! If it wasn't made in Japan, it wouldn't be able to write decent haiku. It would just be Western imitation crap, LOL. It's like trying to find decent sushi in an airport or Bar-B-Q in New York City.

Lol. I remember in the 1970s when everything was "made in Japan." And when US buyers started avoiding those manufacturers, they created a city called Usa in Japan and wrote "Made in USA" in Japan. Lol.
I'm sure the robot haiku poet will do only what the programmer directed it to say.

I know Haiku started in Japan, and I know Japan is way ahead of us in computer knowledge, so I am in no way surprised. LOL Thank you for sharing this adorable poem with us.
