An interesting theme. It suggests we cannot dwell in the past but need to see the wider picture. We need to accept that we make history in our own lives!

This is a good idea for a 5-7-5 poem but I think that your last line has six syllables in it and not five as required as reason and regrets both have two each in them. Also, I would not have used 'past' as the last word in both of lines one and two. Instead you could have reworded the second line to says something like 'we are its hapless products'.
Good luck with it nevertheless
