If I had fifty thousand stars extra, I'd give them here just for your syllabic structure for those words we're supposed to "HO-old!"
Such as:
"She told us what she wanted
a long-ong time ago,
But then I think that she forgot
An-and we-e must have too, so"
and
"She's making a fuss; she's ma-ad at us
T'was her dream car, and no-ow we are"
MUCH easier to sing along!
(Hey, go ahead and link up your favorite version of the original song! --Jan's posted a mini-tutorial on how to do it!)
(PS ~ I'm no Mrs. Claus, but I'd take a vintage MG if anybody has as n extra one!)
This was fun!

Thank you, ma'am! I appreciate that!!
I'm just gonna let the reader's brain hear the melody (like you did).
I'll look at her tutorial again, but I am the least tech friendly person there is.

This is a cute "song" about Mrs. Claus and her wish list - you would think the mister could conjure up anything she wanted, for heaven's sake!
I couldn't figure out which Christmas song you re-wrote. At first I thought it was "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" because of the "you better watch out," but I don't think that's it. You might want to mention what you're re-writing in your author's notes so that we can sing along:-)
Happy holidays!

it IS Santa Claus is coming to Town, and I sang it all the way through with my words.
but I'll mention the name at the bottom.

This song cover of Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Mrs. Claus on the Loose, is a charming update to the Christmas classic which finds Mrs. Claus moving up to a Mersades and probably a younger Saint Nick.

Oh, I think she loves old Santa - she's no spring chicken, herself, but she finally decided, if he could have a fancy, red sleigh, she wanted a fancy red something, too. Turn about. :)

Your words to Santa Claus is Coming to Town appear to be spot on.
Well done.
Besides the syllable and bouncy accuracy, it told a good story.
I have not read any other entries, but this should be a contender in my opinion.
Best of luck.
Cheers, John
