Hi Bill,
This poem shows that anything can have a positive and negative meaning at the same time. This can be metaphoric for divine creation
Congrats on placing second in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Joan

You squeezed a lot of delightful elements into 17 syllables. I will forever see snowballs as baby snowmen. The last line was a fun surprise that broke the lull of the first two lines. The whole piece was rather like being hit with a snowball.

Ah, the tension and suspense. What a human is capable of creating - a work of art or a weapon of destruction! Great little poem. It seems familiar but somehow it appears I didn't review it. Congrats on your second place finish!!

I must have been trying to adapt to being here at the time so I thought I reviewed.
    So happy for you!

Love the mix between mischievous intent and fun with something like a snowball. With all things we have limitless options. I enjoyed this haiku a lot. Wish you the best.

This was pretty cute, it's nice to have options. It should do well in the voting booth. Good luck in the contest. Merry Christmas and stay safe and healthy in the new year.

Bill,
This is an excellent poem!

I am betting it will be used for the purpose of tossing it at an unsuspecting pedestrian. Lol

Nice 5-7-5 entry, Bill.
Good luck in the contest.
Blessings,
Have a warm, safe holiday season.

Clever you. Good entry that I'm sure will ring bells with the contest committee. Such a contrast between plans for this snowball. Fortunately, when used as a projectile, I don't think it would do any damage.

I think we?re in a season of mutual admiration again so I expect same names amassing six votes at the last minute on all shorties.

I liked the potential this poem expresses. It could be growth or destruction. Thank you so much for sharing this 5-7-5 poem here, and best wishes to you.

OK Bill, I have your choice offered. As a kid, we had many snow fights and also created big snowmen and snow forts. The latter was to save us from those snow projectiles.

I did angels in the snow but never thought off creating a baby snowman LOL

This poem is a great description of a snowball. It follows the rules of the 5-7-5 contest and reads very well. I particularly like the imagery of a baby snowman.
Good luck with it
