This section flows well. It reiterates what most people know about box stores. It also gives us a look into the general worldview of the main character. The whole sentiment of this part seems disenchanted and opportunistic. The images are clear. The narrative stays on point. It would seem something is about to happen post pondering.

I shop frequently at Walmart because of the prices but never thought of the store in the way you describe it here. It does have many facets to it, taxes pharmacy etc. You have vivid descriptions of the people in the parking lot, very observant.

Having escaped from Hermitage house for the second, this wonderfully well trained and superbly adept street-wise boy knows where to get a feed, and inveigle himself into the favour of many, is on the streets again. Beautifully written Brett, blessings Roy

As a person outside US, I have never understood the phenomenon of Walmart. This part is great and it ends with a cliffhanger that makes us want to see the rest of your story.
