This was a very moving episode as Ohmie continues to fade. I liked Mme Benoir stepping up to the plate and volunteering to play decoy. Didn't find anything to "note." And so I wait for the next episode.

Seems like poor Ohmie is quite close to the end. Mme Benoir is proving herself to be a potential heroine. Interesting and well-written still. Don't suppose you vcam swing a miracle cure for Ohmie?

Just curious as this winds down, Wayne - do you have future writes in mind? Taking a break? Already halfway through your next book?

Thank you. I was a good way into a sequel, but hit a block. I want to write a major war with Qanon, Ohmie's family leading the battle. But it would necessarily offend a large block of FanStory members.
I have other work that I could post, though.

You mention on your profile page that you've hiked a lot in many places. Perhaps you use that knowledge for an adventure story, or have someone get lost while hiking and either make the story about that person surviving in the woods for days or weeks, or a loved one trying to find them.
Perhaps your block is coming from writing about the same characters so much - as Morpheus said in The Matrix, "Free your mind!"

Thoughts ran amuck from your leads.
But the block I referred to was political. Do I deliberately alienate right wingers? Q'anoners are fascists. Russia is on the side of Republicans. Ohmie and fam battle a nearly imminent coup. I'm thinking that story might only be for personal entertainment.

I recently thought I wanted to write a piece for the faith flash fiction contest. My faith is not in a church that increasingly upholds the beliefs of the people you speak of. I believe in a creator and a higher power, but he isn't sitting around waiting for someone who is praying for a new TV or that he keep it from raining on their wedding day. My faith is in those around us who do good for others, who are selfless and serve the community. My faith is in my family.
In the end, someone here talked me out of it because so many are so "into God and their church." So, you have my answer:-)
