Another fine poem, Gypsy....and leave it to the Greeks to piss in our Corn Flakes with this poem of woe. This certainly would be heartbreaking for any parent

I know nothing about Greek Mythology. My youngest son, Steven is fascinated with it. He keeps explaining parts of it and get frustrated when I mess up the stories. Persephone's story is fascinating. Thank you for sharing it with us.

It's a memorable Greek myth which explains the seasons and the grief of mother nature when Persephone was no with her. And you told the story well in tanka form!
One suggestion:
mom so young
to
taken so young from mom
Otherwise the young is more connected with the mom

Thank you very much, big sister. I appreciate you for taking the time to read and review my poem. I made the change. Boy, last night I was making mistakes left and right. I took Atticus to the park and the library after school. Love you. Thank you for helping me with my grammar.

I'm not sure if I like the poem or the editor's notes better because I learned a lot.
And, I knew a little already about her
Persephone.
...
The Art work compliments the background.
Well written rich in theme and Imagery.
