No only have they fought dragons, goblins, and now one-eyed giants. This is not their day. Thank you for doing a great job with action and descriptions.

They were lucky that they had only lost one man (omit the 'that')

Lord Grey was concerned and curious about this new threat, so he decided that his patrol would track the creature and see what it was. (omit the 'that')

Thank you my friend. Rooting out all of the 'thats' is becoming a full time job! Thank you for your efforts!

The battles and skirmishes are described graphically. Sometimes the reader finds it difficult to follow all the fighting which comes thick and fast. In places the piece needs proof reading as when Lord Grey is perplexed as to why the Red Dragon 'hadn't taken flight' when it seems that it had retreated.

This chapter holds interesting new characters and bloody conflict. I read their inclusion in the storyline as transitional to the plot development. The writing keeps the reader interested. As usual, the descriptions are well-written. However, a note of hope could be of interest to the reader. Something to look forward to. Just a thought. Thank you for sharing another great chapter.
