Well done on using poetry to cover the whole year! Very informative and detailed with a touch of wry humour. I sympathise fully with references to knee and hip surgery! There are, understandably, a few forced rhymes!

This was a fun write, yet took me a while to match the rhymes and some of the words of the original. Yes, I finally was able to smooth out some of the bumps in it by changing some of the words. I was probably working on it when you were reviewing. I think it reads smoother now. Everyone sure got in the Christmas spirit, that entered this contest. It has one more day of voting and we'll see how it goes. Thanks again my friend!

What a fun Christmas newsletter despite what has been a difficult year. You've taken the reader on a little walk and peek through your life and family experiences this year so very well. Just a few wobbly metre bits, but I can't talk about that, as I am not very good at metre. Lol. Best wishes for your entry.

This was a fun write, yet took me a while to match the rhymes and some of the words of the original. I changed a lot of it after I posted because I too felt it was bumpy. This one was harder w meter because I had to follow the structure of the original and it's harder when you are trying to tell a story and still get it to make sense. Otherwise I usually don't have a problem with that. I think it reads better now. Everyone sure got in the Christmas spirit, that entered this contest. Thanks again my dear friend!

What a lovely change from the twelve days of Christmas. This takes us though your year, and gives us all the nice and nasty. The Covid hit you hard this year, it's a horrid illness, and I'll be glad when it's been sent packing for good. I enjoyed this, my friend, and got to know a bit more about you and your family. So they have changed since then.

I loved the concept of this poem and the story within Debi, you captured the tragedy of Covid and how it kept us penned in and the joy we feel at Christmas now that we are all free. Life goes on and we all have to strive forward. Your metre started off okay and lost its way on a few lines, despite this, I think this epic poem is magical, love Dolly x
