Hi Gypsy Queen,
this read held a very sensual texture for me. Touch and senses are the thing that connects us to Mother Earth, but also to each other.
Fingers contour smooth mounds and valleys... what a beautiful way to start a mind to wander through the landscape of pure sense. It's not just something that one part of us feels or connects with. One part may connect, but from there it spreads simultaneously to our being... our soul.
You bring this beautiful poem back to life... another sense with the reader bringing in the smells you have created to stimulate and reflect a reminiscing calmness of familiarity.
Yes, this read did excite the senses. I guess as poets and writers we may feel a lot within the visual aspect of emotions painted so delicately through beautifully crafted words that creates emotive feelings.
Stunning Regina Gitana!
With our thoughts we create...
the physical connection.
Kindest thoughts ,
James.

James! It's so good to hear from you. Thank you for the beautiful and exceptional six stars review. You understand my poem so well, it's like you read my mind. Japanese poetry is all about exciting the senses and very visual, that's why I love it so much. It's the perfect medium to express myself.
I hope all is well with you and your other half. I thought about you from time to time.

I am trying to be back, but my male ego....hmmmmm, or stubbornness has seen me injure my spine. I hit the inflammatories pretty hard as I have stenosis in the nerve canal that affects my legs, more the right this time around. One would think I would not be so reckless with my health... but it just like I can't help myself but to push the envelope at times. Maybe I get too confident or something. I'll have to dive deeper into my self sabotage and grow into my altered life. Every other part of my life I strive for health. Hell, I eat mega healthy, I don't drink alcohol or smoke... ah well, something for me to strive towards I should hope? I'm off to get some treatment tomorrow... the swelling has subsided around the nerves of my spine. Anyway my dear friend, just wanted to let you know I will be starting back on site tentatively for now... and after tomorrow's treatment it may stir it all up again and not allow me to sit for too long. But hey(((((((((((, it was really beautiful to reconnect to you and your beautiful poems. I know I only got to a couple... but I did read another just before I checked out this morning and couldn't review it. It was another smasher... the visual of half a lady face... very haunting, very visual, very sad, very lingering, yet there was a strength within it. Speak soon!

I am sorry, James, that sounds so painful. I have back pain from time to time, when I pick up heavy boxes without bending my knees. It hurts a lot and it's nothing like yours. Take care, my friend.

In this short poem you have met all the senses except hearing. Although, I bet the autumn rain and the breeze can be heard. They often can. LOL A great and beautiful package. Thank you.

This poem evokes a feeling of contentment and peace through great vivid images of nature. I love the use of the senses in the images. Well done. Have a happy holiday.

I like how you covered the feeling of the contours of the Earth / Gaia or the spelling you used - Gaea. Then you moved the the sense of smell and the autumn rain. Lovely presentation as always!

As you know, gaea is a Greek myth about earth goddess.
Thank you, big sister, it's always good to hear from you.
