Gretchen, I think you are right about that. I remember when Delta Burke was criticized for being overweight. She replied to her critics. I can lose weight, but you can't lose being a nasty person. I am pleasing plumb, old and pleasing to me! Terry.

I think most plus size models are gorgeous. Have thought this even when I was a size 4. Anyhow, I figure she felt it needed to be said so she said it. Thank you so much for this nice review. As for Delta Burke, she was beautiful no matter what size she was. Gretchen

I must admit, whether people approve of me or not, that's really their concern not mine, (I wouldn't write the stuff I write if I was concerned) I realised that living according to other people's perception of you, that's the politician's concern, that's what they do to get elected,. I'm concerned with a better world, ot to make a difference to others, Jesus never was, He was simply Himself, God manifest among men. it's not going to happen if I don't have integrity before God. If I was 10 years younger I would have cried too. Now I realize I'm a good person, want the best for others, pray daily and if you think im fat, fine. If that's the worst that's said about me I should be thankful. Thank you so much for this awesome review. Gretchen

But we do need to stand up for ourselves. As I've aged, I've learned that. I have often said, if I had the wisdom and confidence I have now with the looks, I had when I was younger, I would've been unstoppable.

Used to really bother me as I genuinely love people ... In fact, as a child, one of my dearest neighbours always addressed me as "Smiley."
As for the weight, well, I recall my sister saying to me, "I can't understand how you ever let yourself go." Brutal words from a very unhappy individual.
I, too, love who I am, how I look, and how I smile.
Damn the torpedoes! Not put on this earth to please those who care to put me down for their own insecurities!

To me, letting yourself go is not practicing consistent hygiene. Gaining weight is just your body changing. Funny how many people want you to live by their standards. Thank you so much. Next time some one says I've put on weight I'm going to whisper in their ear, " lucky for you, there's even more of me to love." Can you imagine the look on their face. Gretchen
