Everything written in this piece I do agree with. Christmas is a money making holiday. It always has been. The spirit of Christmas needs to be in the forefront of that.
With all that said, was the piece wrote a poem? Seemed more of an article, or statement than a poem. I'm no poet, Judy going by how it read.

It was going to be a poem and ended up being a mixture of the two.
