Roses are definitely the flower that most symbolises love ( passion) that emotion that makes hearts skip a beat.
Its velvety petals are like soft , smooth skin and its thorns a reminder that love can also cause pain.
After a rain or a drizzle I love going outside to lick the drops from the leaves and petals and smell the titillating fragrance of my roses.
A sensual poem.

Congratulations on your 100th post, Kaiku! I really liked your "smell of love." That must be what my grandson meant when he said, "I love how you smell." In your last line, you have "senes." Did you mean "senses" ?
