I re-read this a couple of times. It is so good, it gives me chills. Wow, I get this. It's sad and haunting. I'm sorry for your losses in life.
You may be interested in my book, Hoofprints of the Heart. It is how I came to God as a child. It has a little house on the Prarie and "Walton taste that is told in a modern-day fashion. It deals with death and living and cancer with loved ones.
May you keep writing, there is healing in writing. Thank you .

This is a very thought-provoking poem. God knows so many think of what is to come for all of us one day especially when we are bereft after the loss of a loved one or depression sets in.
I am so thankful to our Heavenly Father, his Son and the Blessed Mother.
One of my favorite verses is:
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
Thank you so much for sharing and God bless you.

Sounds pretty suicidal there, Doc. Hopefully not.
Sometimes life can kick you down and stomp on you.
Hard to keep going on occasions, but one has to until "Winter comes."

The reason I wrote this is I reviewed one about winter and how it brings death with it.
Figured I'd give it a shot.
Thanks for your reply.

Such deep sorrow and loss and longing for God's comfort. It's expression is raw, authentic and honest. Well expressed with poetic devices internal rhyme, aliteration and description. Truly heartfelt. A few typos and little errors. I do pray God brings his comfort and makes it "good" somehow.

Oh dear, this sounds a little sad and final, a little like Elijah all sad after a monumental victory over the Prophets of Baal, he is pursued by Jezebal and her forces, but he want to die, because he's the only one, but God tells him there are 7,000 just like him, then he's taken in to Heaven in a chariot, well done Ricky. , blessings Roy
Typo : (sorrie) corpse. Sorry?

I like writing about my demise.
But as for my past problems.
I've come to accept and time helps a great deal.
Thanks for sharing and reviewing.
