Reese,
We are indeed a species prone to mass craziness. I am proud to say I have never participated in this frenzied path to the poorhouse. We already have about five times as much stuff as we can ever us. :-)

Ahhhh, but those little children are so cute - not as much fun as most men with theirs... Why did I leave out the ladies? Seriously?

Ha, ha, ha. Very good, very true, and very sad. I keep saying that I wish that people would just scale things back to simple. Even Jesus was only brought One gift by each of the Wisemen. They didn't come with a sleigh full of gifts. However, I heard on the News that Black Friday was quieter than what they expected, but if it's not Chaos, and people are not being stomped on--even injured, then it's not a "good" Black Friday.
Good 5-7-5 format. In seventeen syllables you painted a picture.
I especially liked:
Then Come "Payment Days"!
(I think the exclamation point should go inside the quote.)
(The above is so true. Also good rhyming and homonym with daze and days.)
Perfect photo choice. A pleasure to read. Well done. You should have kept this poem for a contest entry. Keep the blue waters flowing.

Thanks mucho, mucho. This time of year is a panic. I am amused and I like to share laughter.

This is a good idea for a poem but I think that your first line has 6 syllables and not the five required. You have time to alter it if necessary though so have another think and good luck with it.

Fixed it. Thanks and Merry Christmas

"Holi-Daze Makes Us Crazy" makes a mild joke about what holiday spending causes: a post-spending dismay at the bills we must pay. "Breath" should be 'breathe' in line 2. The rather dire insanity of American holiday buying deserves more than some rueful bit of chagrin over what must be paid for gifts that are often only significant for minutes, or until a better gift shows up. But the joke in this 5-7-5 poem has some bite. It seems probable that many Americans haven't caught up with last year's bills.

Thanks for the spelling tip. Changed it. It is overdone, indeed, but are a country which has prided itself on capitalist thrills. I laugh at the situation, but I would not trade my palce! You?
