Yes! Great memories of my youth at summertime. We punched small holes in the lid.
Last line might also be: campfire memories (still five syllables).

As always, excellent entry for the haiku club. I love the presentation. I would add 3 lines beneath the text to give more room and to balance it out.

How we all have missed that childhood experience growing up and discovering late at night.
Yes, that there are insects that can light up the night!
And, no matter how small to us it appeared so bright!
This poem is taking me back 60 years.
Well written rich in theme and imagery.

It's fun that we get to write Animal Group Name Haikus again. I will have to post one, too. I love fireflies and now I know how to call a group of them because they often appear in a group. They are so magical.
