Hey, Jesse...

I've not been on the site for a very long time and I have read several poems on and off and not reviewed them, so my review could be considered a compliment. I like the fact that almost anyone could relate to finishing the race on top! No thanks to special sneakers though.

I found your poem not veey smooth, but the positivity is great. I truly hope your health & strength meet your dreams in every way.

Dreams are very interesting and sometimes come true.
This was wonderfully written rich in Theme and Imagery.
It also, read well and flowed well with no Grammar Issues.
The Adjective and Objective Contents were both Excellent and Exceptional while Descriptive Measures Aligned Perfectly.

I really like this poem for so many reasons. First, it is well-written, embedded in metaphors that work to convey your message. Second, it reminds me of my mom who wanted so badly to walk again during her last days on earth.

Hello, Jesse,

When I was little, I dreamt about flying. It felt so real ... the sensation of soaring going up and down close to the houses that had no ceilings ... I could see the people inside. Then the sensation of flying down to earth and touching the ground. I think children have that ability but we lose it when we grow up and people tell us is not possible. I loved to fly.

I can understand wishing being able to walk and run. These days I have a hard time walking long distances and I can't run well. I'm afraid of falling down. I have done it a couple of times and it's not fun. I'm in the process of getting my body in shape so I can do those things.

Thanks, Gypsy, for sharing your amazing youth and how you loved to fly in your dreams. I too used to fly in my dreams while a child. These dreams I wrote about were metaphors for how I want to walk and eventually run far distances. Thanks for sharing and for the kind words of encouragement. Have a happy day.
