I really enjoy poems about our God and all He has done for us. It is a catchy poem with a great flow to the stanzas. I enjoyed your rhyme. All in all it is very well written.

In an outstanding way, you inspired belief in the living God. All of the poem is encouraging, but I love most the reminder in the final stanza that the living Christ claims us as His own.

What a wonderful way to inspire belief! This is an incredible testimony, and a very beautiful poem -- all of it. My favorite stanza is the very first one, inviting the reader to question and seek truth --
"He died on the Cross
Yet He Lives
He bore the wrath of God
Yet He gives"

I found the author's words clear, strong and creative. I found this poem
reassuring and filled with meaning. I liked the words the author used

Having raised a child with a helpful hint of Asperger's... I can't help myself after reading your notes... I have to say, "If I'd been crucified with Christ, I'd likely be dead." (and now I laugh... I'm sure even He has a sense of humor)

This is an excellent contest entry, John, beautiful words, and sentiments. The rhyme is perfect. You tell of how God sent His only son to take away our sins, and claim them as His own. Not many fathers would be as generous. Very well done, and good luck in the contest. :)) Sandra xx

I think you did a great job on the illustration choice as well. I just noticed you have ties to Alabama; the last illustrated Bible storybook I purchased off ebay a few years ago is from Alabama. I'm kind of curious who the artist is whose picture you have here?
