This is a good and funny 5-7-5 contest entry. The text is a great size. The message is clearly stated and provides a clever solution. I laughed aloud. It's a great entry, and the visual fits perfectly. Good luck in the contest.

This is a witty little poem that follows the rules of a 5-7-5 poem well. It also tells a true tale about squirrels and bird feeders so it very true to life. Mind you I don't think that the Vaseline would last very long in UK weather.
Good luck with it.

That perennial problem is universal. I have a daily convention of squirrels around my feeder. I like your solution of using Vaseline on the pole. Your 5-7-5 made me chuckle.
