These are beautiful thoughts, beautifully penned by you.
I liked the repetitive line that added a nice emphasis to the whole theme.
I also particularly like the concluding line. Our world needs a reminder of that constantly. Thanks for sharing.

Simple and honest, this poem highlights the debt we owe to our Creator for giving man a second chance and to His Son for being willing to give his life for us. From the beginning of time God has loved us - and still does. We just need to reciprocate.

Thank you so much, my dear. Since my sister went to heaven two years ago, I'm especially grateful for my Christian sisters, and you're a special sister!

I feel the same, and I am sorry for your loss. I have three much older half sisters. They were from my dad's first marriage. But when I was born they were here so to me they are my sisters. Unfortunately I have lost my oldest brother who died at 43 of a heart attack and my youngest brother who was 47 in a car crash. And I still miss them everyday. I am always here if you ever want to talk. You know I love you, my sweet sister. I can't help it, some of the loveliest people I know are on here.
Dolly made a comment in one of my reviews that was not meant to be rude, I'm sure. But she said that it isn't possible to know anyone that you never met in person. I disagree completely. I feel that the fact that we don't see each other physically, instead we get to know the soul and inner feelings of some, better than we know some that we see everyday. I am a good judge of character, and the people like you, Helen, Sally, etc, etc, all have one thing in common. Their personalities don't change and we are all human, but our true selves show through with chatting as often as we do. Like if I told you I was shy, you might start to wonder about me, right? Lol! Obviously this girl loves to talk, but believe it or not, with people I am uncomfortable with, I do clam up. That's how you know if I say I care, I really do, because I have seemed to overdo again on the chat meter. Haha! Sorry about that!

Loved your poem of faith, Verna! You used the repeated line of "Before the beginning of time, God" and the second lines rhyme across all the couplets. Every verb you chose is one that gives us a specific attribute of God: was always, planned, knew, made, gave, and finally loved because He is Love! Beautifully said. Best wishes in the contest!
