This is so true, my friend. I see where you are coming from and agree wholeheartedly. Gun violence has got to stop. And only legislation in Congress will be able to do that.
I do not understand why the NRA gets to control everything and everyone and nothing gets done without their say.

Hello, Mike,
An excellent poem is about the shootings in our nation. Why do civilians own AR-15 rapid shooting riffles? It's supposed to be for the military to use at war. What civilian needs to shoot 100s of fires in a few minutes? My son was at school when a shooter killed 5 Vietnamese children in the schoolyard. Hate crimes are the majority of massacres. We are not safe, no matter where we are, it's horrifying.

That's why the demented bible toting republicans, yup, that's a small r, because they're small people these days, can't get their heads out of the part of the bible that apparently says that a club shouldn't be punished for what it doesn't do, you have to punish the person, not the club! (or any number of other weapons it mentioned. Paraphrasing for sure)

I like poems that rhyme, and this one is done skillfully. The topic is clear -- a criticism of gun ownership. The meter is clear also. One typo I found: I think "villainy" is misspelled in the sixth line, right?
