Your use of the literary technique of alliteration will draw the reader in, especially the s's. The sounds of them effect the quietness, the silence, the slashing water of the lake. The settling in for the evening and sleeping time. There is more, but this is enough.

I really like this poem.
It's like putting one one's pajamas and feeling the good life.
I love the photo; a cabin surrounded by a reflective lake would provide a wonderful vacation.
