Wow, this is a sincere and somber letter to your family and friends that your eyes are failing and you will have difficulty pursuing Christmas card writing and possibly posting on Fan Story. I am so sorry for the loss of your eyesight. I too may lose my eyesight in the near future if I don't keep on using my multiple eyedrops every day.

Sorry to hear about the continuing struggle with your eyesight. I am reminded that the great English poet John Milton also went blind and yet continued to keep writing - I think by dictating his words to his daughter. He even wrote about his struggles and his initial anger with God in the famous sonnet 'On His Blindness.' which ends with the striking line 'They also serve who only stand and wait.'
In any case, have a happy and blessed Christmas and I hope to see you gracing these pages for some time yet.
