Nice ambiance poem. For some reason, snow does make things quiet.
Your photo is nice and your words give me some comfort because I really don't like the winter: it's cold and dark. (The sun is scarce in winter where I come from).

nice haiku about snow. Here in Korea, we get snow occasionally. Not quite as much in recent years, winter starts now in late December as opposed to late November and lasts until February not March. Shorter more intense winters, longer hotter summers. fortunately not too many wild fires.

So very true, at least where you come from. Well having said that, north of Spain usually gets to a lot snow during the winter. But I'm at the Med, and we don't get that. I loved your wee poem. Ulla:)))

Yes, the countryside can seem to quieten for a time, snow seems to have a magical affect on the countryside for a time, could it be the effect of purity, or is that an illusion? Beautifully written, good luck, blessings Roy

This is beautiful description of what the after effects of a snowfall are like. The poem has the correct number of syllables for the 5-7-5 contest and I can almost see the snow and feel the peacefulness after it has stopped. The last line is also good as it brings us back to reality after dreaming in the snow - well done and good luck with it.

This 5-7-5, Magic of Snow, has the proper formatting and notes the immediate dampening of the sounds. Soon though, children and outdoorsers will be playing.
