I very much enjoyed this poem (promoted to a mere 52 cents to prove your point!). I wish there were some way round this buying reviews syndrome that means the worst of writing often reaches the ATB list. Sometimes I boycott anything promoted ABOVE 60 cents, but I don't think one person will make any difference. Kate xx

Thank you very much for your wise words (and actions). That?s about my top offering for poems, for longer prose perhaps a bit more. Yes, and poor writing moves up the ranks quickly if one is willing to pay for it. It?s a flawed system.

I think everybody does here. It feels like the rankings do not really reflect the real creative talent of those who deserve it. I do not question the talent of the Fan Story writers. They are all amazing. But something is amiss here, getting your poems and stories to number one slot will invite more reviews and eventually improve one's rankings. I agree, can we just write for our own pleasure instead. Yay, thanks for sharing.

Thank you Nassus for an insightful review. I refuse to pay high to get reviews, and I am not much interested in winning either, although it is nice. But not at the expense of my personal integrity.

What a great attitude you have. And while I agree it's not all about winning, it is nice to win occasionally. But it is just as important to compete, because competition maintains a healthy blood flow and blood flow ensures a strong heart.

Thank you, and you are perfectly right. Yes, it is nice to win, but one shouldn't obsess about it. It's very tongue in cheek. I never pay top money to get reviews, on principle, and while a win feels good, it's not a need. Thanks for your thoughtful review - I appreciate it.
