I like how you set the story and introduce Pete. We get to understand who he is and why he's uneasy at this conference. I wish, however, you had taken more time to characterize Angie and develop more PLOT.

This is a charming story. It illustrates how a chance meeting can have unexpected consequences. This can happen in middle life too. Oh, it seems I have not written enough.
