This is an interesting article about a lifestyle that was also common when I was a teenager in the early 1960s and wanted to go to college. It was ok as long as we girls wanted to be teachers and mothers. So, us older ladies know whereof you speak. The only problem I can see is you don't define glossophobia. Is it the fear of public speaking, or something else? You might call you mother a (fertile) manufacturing machine.

You speaking of Glossophobia can go a long way toward helping people overcome many life altering phobias that have kept them hidden behind someone's coat tails before. Thanks for sharing. I truly wish I had a six.

Very interesting. I had fear of speaking something terrible in High School. The USMC kicked it out of me. I hope it never comes back. ð??©

Great writing and use of description. My only suggestion would be to cut some of those bigger paragraphs in two to help keep you readers focused.

Very nicely done!

Thank you Doug. I will look into breaking up the long paragraphs during revision. Thanks for suggesting it.

Like you I don't quite think like my peers, and I don't have a problem with my offspring going their own way, as long as it's not in an anti social direction, and traditions are just that traditions not binding laws that make sense, traditions can be changed, even if they are a one off. I simply want my children to fulfil their dreams and be happy. Beautifully written, blessings Roy

This story is so skillfully executed that it deserves a six-star award. I have always suffered from Glossophobia. I couldn't eat or sleep when we had to give book reports in school. I married a dairy farmer, so the condition didn't matter much.
