I like your Tanka poem - excellent picture presentation as always - the beginning line in the poem has a double meaning - my Mother would say it to me when I had screw up as a child - probably because we were from the south, then newly transplanted in California - I like your poem - paints a colorful picture - Good Job. We actually attempted to plant a Sugar Maple in our front yard so we could have beautiful red leaves in the fall. We watered it and took very good care of it, but it's simply too hot in Texas and it died. Your poem reminded me of this tree. Thank you for presenting us with a beautiful poetic package.

Oh, no... I'm sorry your maple tree died. They are truly majestic. My grandson, Atticus, wants a tree but we live in a townhouse without a garden. Our climate in pasadena, Los Angeles, is pretty warm. Once in a while we get rain and cool days..I love them.
Thank you very much for your time, kind review, and helpfull feedback,

What a lovely word picture! I could see the changes from the dew-covered grass as the wind blows the colorful maple leaves. Enjoyed how you painted the words from yellow to gamboge to orange to red!

Read the author foot notes. Another beauty for this collection. Beautiful image and words! The words blend together like a rainbow. Deep in dew is a nice alliteration. Wow! 66 tankas.
