This is a good cinquain contest entry. The text is great. The message is clearly stated. The speaker acknowledges that Emily Dickinson was a great poet. She is one of my favorites too.

It's good to know you love poetry and appreciate the art of such poets as Emily Dickinson. May I suggest rephrasing line three of your poem? It's not clear if the POET has "much heart" or if that is your description of his poetry.

This seems to say it all really. The poem fulfills the requirements of a cinquain and is a true definition of what a lot of poets actually do so well done. Poets, however, also write ugly and not very good poetry with much heart at times so I think maybe you are being too kind to us as a species.
