Just what was it between these two? More than meets the eye no doubt?
I was a bit disoriented beginning this chapter as you've transitioned to characters only vaguely referred to early on.
NO worries, you skillfully held my hand as I navigated the path...
Pretty presumptuous of Peter to reintroduce himself with such a familiar "Lizzie." His sort always assumes the right of way!
Check punctuation here: "He was murdered on his own doorstep., Peter."

Yes, sometimes those secrets come out years later, and we all have them. Although, most try to convince everyone of their innocence, none are without faults. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Good morning! those moments we thought were tucked away forever often get distorted or viewed differently as time goes by and our cobwebbed memories remember. Peter and Elizabeth certainly recall their past differently.

Peter has been in love with Elizabeth since their childhood even though their families are rivals. for reasons of her own. She does not return the feelings.

Rudy isn't dead but he's hanging on by a thread with a police officer outside his hospital room. As for Peter and Elizabeth, their memories about their past are extremely different and each one has shaped her lives because of it.

His intentions were to make a visit but Elizabeth and Peter made a change of plans. Bernie and Lance are on the road with Mason and Paddy trailing behind.
