It sounds like Ohmie isn't going to last long. I liked that he had a spiritual revelation looking at the Sistine Chapel and that there was nothing between Adam and God. It was God doing all the action and man receiving His touch. It must have consoled Ohmie somehow. It's good that he and his mom and Mme Benoir all support each other lovingly.

Thank you.
I wondered how the Chapel scene would come across.

Wayne,
And so Ohmie continues to fail in health, everything becoming more difficult. I sense that we are nearing the end. I liked the Sistine Chapel part, but didn't understand the cipher. Good chapter.

Thank you.
At this point, the second time the cipher was used to any degree, I figure most, if not all, readers would skim over it.

Welcome. Yeah. It's a long time between chapters. I have trouble following details through multiple books at irregular intervals.

They are much better at deciphering code than I am. I feel for them, with so much travelling in his very weak state.don't know how he manages. (Yes, I know it's fiction!) I just want to see them all together and safe now!

Thank you for the review and stars.

The adventures never end for these two, despite being spies and always in danger! I imagine being in Ohmie's place and I'm already exhausted. This is another well-written chapter, Wayne.

Gosh I love this story. Very well developed characters. Long paragraphs, but just a fun read.
I had to read one part twice because I though it was dialogue. I would consider italicizing the following part so you don't interrupt your reader's flow my friend :
"How was Dad doing? Had he found Dortch? Had he gone to the Embassy anywhere? Was he even alive?"
Just my two cents.
Great work marine.

Thank you.
Yes, I have difficulty with thoughts, whether to "them", or not.
Funny - I have one reviewer who tells me to chop the 'monster' (100-120 word) paragraphs down!

Ha!

Thank you. I'll see what I can do to fix it.

Well, they're cruising the great parts of the world on a secret mission. Nice job on the code. What a wonderfully written chapter. Best of luck with your book!
Have a great day, and God bless.

Thank you.
One reviewer likes the code, but has asked to to explain it 3 times. lol
Guess I'm not a good explainer.

Everyone should be allowed to have a wish granted before they die - the Sistene Chapel isn't a bad one to have!
Mom's hugs are going to continue to be "a little too hard", and probably more frequent.
A nice chapter for Ohmie - getting to live a little before he doesn't.

Oh, dear. I alternate between delight and confusion with this guy. Here it's that damn code that still perplexes me; don't understand why, I'm usually OK with digits, but I just can't grasp it - and I'm well aware of all the trouble you keep going to, walking me through it so slow. Once more I'm flummoxed. Kate xx

smiley face here
I wish Jerry Lucas' book, 'The Memory Book' was in print. Even without absorbing the code, it's an entertaining and helpful work.
I can give you a different way to look at it if you would like, but won't here if you prefer to just let it go.
Thank you for the review.
BTW - I love the word 'flummoxed' and have an interesting anecdote about it if you are interested.
