Very interesting. I really liked the spider analogy in the beginning.

Perfect length too. Made it more enjoyable.

So I looked hard and went over it twice for errors and found none.

Nice work. Thank you for sharing!

There was re three segment before this one that are linked. Robot Saves the Day, Robot Paves the Way, and Robots.

You have certainly immersed yourself into a world of robotic creatures that could be unpredictable and less effective than first imagined. I expect we will live a world full of robots in the future so your writes are preparing us for what there is to come, a futuristic write and I enjoyed delving into your imagination here Bill, love Dolly x

The fear is that AI will develop reasoning skills and plot our elimination.

Hi Bill, this creation story of yours is starting to take shape, I wonder what MW will be up to next? He's going to have to give this humanoid 'God' thoughts too... but how will he blame that on someone else? I don't know if he can do it twice. I hope he doesn't end up being reprogrammed himself, or whatever you call it. ;)

First of all, I forgot to tell you the other day that I love the title you've chosen for your book. In my opinion titles are very important.

I found this paragraph quite creepy which is good (I imagine that was your intention):The man's body, made featureless by a bio-skin which enveloped his frame, vibrated like the gyrations of a button at the center of a child's string toy.

Very well written although I have to admit science fiction always confuses me a bit, probably because I'm not used to reading it.

Thank you, Heather, for all the positive remarks here. The overall title was created to accept work that wasn't part of a contest. As far as science fiction, the idea is to look for the story that resonates with the human condition.

I know what you mean. In fact now I'm watching a Masterclass by an African American writer called N.K. Jemisin and her explanations of characterization are incredible.

That's a cracking little vignette. I love stuff like this and wish I could write with such freedom. I must practice more! Just one teeny-weeny thing I noticed: In paragraph 4 I think it should be '...of a child's..."?
More of the same please.

Corporate shenanigan's never fail to amuse me. They have been responsible for the ruination of many a budding career. The depths that a jealous and greedy competitor will sink to could really blow the mind of one innocent and inexperienced at life.. My advice is either perfect the game or get the heck out of the game.

Now the plot really thickens as we don't know who is really in charge. MW was plotting something and added unauthorized subroutines to the robots. FM knew about this and warned BF of the potential problem in a secret message. I wonder whom BF has in mind to send to Earth??

Don't make me say this again, Bill, but this IS your best, in my memory, ever -- as long as the next chapter follows on the heels of this one with the plot still in abeyance until it's confirmed who is the cybernetic humanoid. Something sinister is afoot. I thought at the onset that your chapter was going to follow along the lines of the Biblical creation. I believe, at least for a while, that was your direction as well. Not that it makes any difference to you, but if you had posted this after midnight, I'd be topping it with a six!

Thank you so much, Jay. I thought this story line would be short, but it tugs at me. Thank you for your kind words and encouragement..

What a treacherous skunk your Morgram Weem is. If I were the experimental cybernetic humanoid I would tread very carefully. Thanks for another great read. Kate xx

Wow, no dating apps or match making mama robots in this vast cosmos. One can still hope for a connection for these two. Sending you my best today as always and best wishes for the book,
