Oh Bennie, Bennie... what a tangled web! See? See what greed does? It's never good, I tell ya!

(OOPS, I'm lapsing into the accent now...)

I was sort of surprised Bennie came clean (in his "I might have" kind of way) to Lance about spilling the beans...

No question about it, they're both in the thick of things now!

Karenina

You use two different spellings for Benny/Bennie in this chapter... Easy to do, but I suggest you stick to one! (Laughing)

SEE: "No, don't kill me! You can have --" Benny stifled a scream."

I stand corrected... though the chapter isn't fixed it, the writer will get it pronto. As for Bennie coming clean, I think his fear trumped everything.

Wow, it sounds like everyone's in trouble now. So much is happening, and soon the chase will be on. Leaving the note for his dad might prove to be Bennie's undoing later on. Good chapter. Looking forward to reading more.
Blessings.

This is an interesting story and well proofread. You have quite a cast of characters, the list of which makes reading easier as I've just entered your book. So, you have two sets of guys, both on the run. Bennie and Lance have the jewels and Mason and Paddy intended to have them. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next.

Unfortunately, Bennie is the weak link. On his own, as nervous as Lance is, he would probably make many mistakes, but Bennie has speeded up the process. Now, Bennie and Lance are both in danger.

Hello, it was again a joy to read. You make short scenes that concentrate on different characters instead of one large scene, but this is a proper approach to this genre. It reminds me of a crime-related tv series or movies - usually the scenes are short to make the pace quicker. Keep writing :)

Oh no! Bennie is going to lead Mason and Paddy right to Lance and Blackwell's hidden stash. It doesn't look good for anyone. I sure hope that Hank and Emmy find out about them soon!

Mason and Paddy, Bennie and Lance, all planning to be rich but none of them seem very smart. lol Another great chapter, Carol. Obviously there is much more to come. For now, we wait to see if Mason and Paddy catch up with Bennie and lance. Well done.

There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with Bennie's instincts, they sound pretty reliable. An exciting episode Carol, you always manage to write plenty of action into your stories my friend, beautifully written my friend, blessings Roy

I feel like the tortoise and the hare.... I know I will get there at some point, but I seem so slow paced at it. I appreciate the review and your thoughts.

It's getting more interesting and tense as the story continues. You can sense the fear and excitement as the characters fear for their lives and the stash that they have hidden. Looking forward to the next chapter.
