This brought tears to my eyes, as I am sure it did for many others, the last few years have been awful for many as many died do to covid, or shootings, and etc, I am a donor, and I understand, too. Enjoy your writings, keep it up and good luck in the contest.

Death is the most significant barrier to happiness. Whenever I read anything about death, dying, or grief, Shakespeare always comes to mind, to be or not to be; that is the question.
This piece is written with a beautiful rhythm and flow, but most of all, with heart. It is something we all share as human beings and can relate to. I also like how you included "Fanstory friend." It sucks the reader in on a personal level with excellent use of alliteration.
