OMGosh, I don't mean to be callous but when I read your 2.3.2 I just had to chuckle. It was rather spot on. And to think the number of chickens that get put to sleep so that we can stay awake. I worked in the food distribution side of things for a number of years. What we do to feed the world. It's really rather amazing.

I think how chickens are treated is horrendous, idem the dairy cows.

These money-making turkey breeding farms should be closed down let the poor bird return to the wild.

In the Philippines they can and sell rat food (field rats that eat only rice) in the supermarkets for human consumption.
Folks say it tastes just like chicken!

    Enjoy!

You could have entered this for the Thanksgiving poem contest as it sums it up for me (I am a vegan though). It follows the rules of a 2-3-2 poem well and describes what happens at both Thanksgiving and Christmas in the UK.
Good luck with it

Glad to see there are others that share my opinion. I just feel sick knowing so many animals are killed to celebrate a holiday.

In my country, we don't celebrate Thanksgiving....Easter is horrific though ... 300.000 lambs and 500.000 rabbits are killed.

It's not just the death in itself but the lambs being separated from their mothers ..the trip to the slaughterhouse.. they must be so scared.

    Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

"For Thanksgiving"
This contest entry basically speaks.
Yes, about how human beings are basically.
(although meat eaters)
Cruel as they slaughter the many millions of turkeys on the holiday.
Not in a way is true but we also need to realize the Earth is way overpopulated not just in human beings.
...
This was well written rich in Theme and Imagery.
Good luck with this one.

We should stop breeding turkeys for consumption.. they are wild birds let them live free in the wild. Predators will keep their number in check.

Thank you for reading and sharing your opinion.

    Keep safe!
