Love all the senses that this poem conjures up. There's music and the feeling of despair and the soothing of lapping water bringing restoration as the poetry releases the despair. Best wishes in the contest!

I love this 20-syllable entry. Right on the mark with your syllables, the story is complimented perfectly by the photo. The words of the poem couldn't ring truer as well... I think they'll ring a bell with everyone here, for sure!

This describes poetry and what it means to be wonderfully and it sounds like you feel the same way too. I love the last three lines saying how poetry becomes the balm of raging waves soothing at the core of my soul. I couldn't say it completely but this is my retention of it as it speaks to me.
