A lovely tribute to your wife and your life together, Willie.
My parents were also married for sixty years. My father passed away one day after their 60th wedding anniversary. So many beautiful memories.

My wife and I have been together for fifty years of life, 49 as husband and wife. We are pretty used to each other so there's not a whole lot of demonstrated romance anymore, but we are so accustomed to each other that we almost always wind up thinking the same thoughts at the exact same time. Our kids and grandkids say we are boring. I cannot even begin to think of what I would do if she were no longer here. I pray God I never have to find out.

My heart breaks for your loss. I had 40 years and it seemed impossible but you and your wife shared so many more special years. There's a hole that can't be filled except with all the beautiful memories you shared.

Well written quatrains tell a beautiful love story.
True love often blossoms when quite young, flourishes through marriage and children and endures into old age.

This is written so beautifully. The rhyming scheme sounds like silk, but the tone and the theme are just so romantic and beautiful. To love like that for so many years and to write poetry for her still. How wonderful. I love that you used her picture, making the poem really come alive. Just fabulous.
